Lutheran Health Network seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to support the operating room team by preparing the sterile field, maintaining asepsis, and anticipating needs during procedures. This role emphasizes instrument handling, equipment readiness, and patient safety in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

The candidate will ensure accurate counts, assist with patient positioning, and support documentation and inventory management per policy, while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of operating room experience required.
• CST and BLS certifications required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control standards.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating room and ensure instruments and supplies are available for procedures.
• Maintain sterile field throughout surgery and adhere to asepsis principles.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently during procedures.
• Handle instruments/equipment per manufacturer guidance and hospital policy, including cleaning and sterilization.
• Document counts of sponges, needles, and instruments for patient safety.
