Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Surgical Tech to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The role is to assist the surgical team with instrument handling, room setup, and patient care throughout general procedures.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of surgical technologist experience and a current BLS certification or obtain it within one month of start date. The position requires standing, lifting, and exposure to clinical environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year surgical technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification required or become BLS certified within one month of start date.

Responsibilities

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies and equipment for general procedures.
• Prepare operating room and ensure proper functioning of instruments.
• Assist surgical team with patient preparation, transport and care duties.
• Respond to emergent situations according to procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with infection control standards.
• May train new employees in the Surgical Technologist I role.
