Job summary

Provide intraoperative assessment and support, manage instrumentation per AAMI and AORN standards, and participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of OR procedures. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
• 1-3 years operating room scrubbing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of AORN standards and recommended practices essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the operating room setting and procedures.
• Follow AORN standards and recommended practices for quality surgical services.
• Experience with AORN Standards and Recommended Practices is required.
• Knowledge of care and handling of surgical instrumentation and power equipment per AAMI and AORN is essential.
