Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join the operating room team in Crestview, FL. You will prepare the OR, maintain a sterile field and support instrument handling to ensure patient safety and efficiency during procedures.

The role requires CST certification and BLS, with 0–2 years OR experience and strong teamwork, organization, and infection control knowledge to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments quickly.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR by setting up instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field throughout procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and hand instruments timely.
• Inspect and sterilize instruments per policy.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments with team.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping as directed.
• Maintain accurate procedural documentation and cards.
