Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a surgical technician to scrub and assist in the operating room, maintaining sterile technique and equipment. Under the supervision of the OR Manager and RNs, you will ensure asepsis and patient safety while contributing to a team-focused environment.

The role requires BLS, a surgical tech program with CST preferred, and 2–4 years of related experience. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential in this on-site position based in Bryan, Texas.

Qualifications

• Eligible for employment in the U.S.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of surgical technician program, CST certification, and documented experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) prerequisite.
• 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe patient care.
• Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
• Must be computer literate with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs surgical scrubbing and assisting duties within and support of the sterile field during operative procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and proper care of surgical instrumentation/equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique and infection control.
• Under supervision of OR Manager/Administrator and direction of RNs.
• Projects professional demeanor and adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Fulfills Healthstream continuing education requirements.
• Sets priorities and maintains teamwork, adaptability, and accountability.
