Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program with certification.
• Maintain 15 continuing education units annually per NBSTSA.
• CPR/BLS from American Heart Association.
• NBSTSA CST certification must be provisioned; some grandfathering applies in NV.
• Post-hire AHA RQI competency certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR with instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Anticipate needs, pass instruments and maintain the sterile field.
• Count items, handle specimens, and assist with patient positioning.
• Adhere to aseptic technique with excellent communication and safety focus.
