Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of acute care CST experience, certification from an accredited CST program, NBSTSA credentials, and BLS/CPR proficiency. Compliance with AHA requirements is required.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time acute care CST experience.
• Graduate from an accredited CST program with certification.
• Maintain NBSTSA certification and NBSTSA-required CE units annually.
• Must hold AHA BLS certification and CPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR with instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and maintaining sterility.
• Count items, handle specimens, and assist with patient positioning.
• Maintain aseptic technique and communicate effectively for patient safety.
