Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support its operating rooms in Ohio. The role involves assisting with a wide range of intraoperative tasks, ensuring sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient comfort across diverse ages from neonates to geriatrics.

The position supports OR operations, with responsibilities including preparation, equipment orientation, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.


• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.


• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).


• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.


• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
