Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Northeast Ohio is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our operating room team on variable shifts (7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a). You will perform a range of duties in the OR, maintain cleanliness and efficiency of services, and provide patient care from neonates through geriatrics.

You will orient staff to equipment and procedures and model professional standards for students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• CST certification from NBSTSA.
• Current AHA BLS certification or obtained within 90 days.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.


• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.


• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).


• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.


• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
