MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will assist with sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient room turnover, ensuring a safe, efficient environment for diverse patient populations.

The role requires CST certification, a surgical technology degree, and BLS. You will collaborate with surgeons and staff, participate in patient care from neonate to geriatric, and contribute to the system's standards of service.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsabilidades

Position Summary:

• Performs various duties in the operating room.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.


• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.


• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).


• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.


• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.


• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
