Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to support operating room operations and patient care across age ranges. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to MetroHealth standards.

The candidate will assist in sterilization, room setup, patient positioning, and equipment handling while ensuring high-quality care and cost-effective OR services. A CST and BLS are required or in progress within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.


• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.


• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).


• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.


• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
