Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operative team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies and maintaining aseptic technique.

Requires Associate Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology; CST/NCCT/NBSTA/TS-C certification; BLS preferred; one year perioperative experience is preferred; training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology.
• Certification as CST/NBSTA/TS-C or NCCT (NCCT required).
• One year perioperative or operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by the procedure.
