Valley Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Surgical Services department in Winchester, VA. The CST I supports surgeons, maintains sterile technique, and ensures patient safety during invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology course is required.
• VA State license required prior to start.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon to ensure safe and effective conduct of invasive procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and verify equipment function.
• Precept and train new employees or students as assigned.
• Complete annual competencies and Professional Practice Ladder requirements.
