Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, VA is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our OR team. The role supports sterile processing, instrument handling, and patient transport within a fast-paced surgical suite.

The position requires a CST or completion of a surgical technology program, with BLS at hire and Virginia licensure eligibility. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Surgical technologists graduate from surgical technology program; experience may substitute education/certification.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies for the type of surgery.
• Ensures proper functioning of equipment and availability of sterile instruments.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
• Keeps track of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for lab delivery.
• Sets up and monitors the sterile field.
• Drives turnover times to 20 minutes or less and restocks rooms.
• Transports patients to and from OR to PACU or patient room.
