Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a CST I in Surgical Services to support the operating room team. The CST I ensures sterile technique, proper equipment function, and patient safety under the supervision of a surgeon.

They will participate in mandatory competencies, precept and train new staff, and complete annual professional practice requirements, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• BLS certification required (AHA Healthcare Provider).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe, efficient invas ive procedures by ensuring proper sterile technique and equipment function.
• Precept or train new employees or students as assigned.
• Maintain patient safety and assist surgeon during operative procedures.
