Job summary

Prisma Health Hillcrest/Simpsonville Medical Campus seeks a Surgical Technician to assist during procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and support the operating room team. The role involves 10-hour day shifts with occasional on-call and requires completion of a Surgical Technology program.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology program or US military ST training.
• No prior experience required.
• Maintains CST/TS-C certification and 15 hours annual ST education.
• In lieu education: 15 hours annual ST education mandatory if grandfathered.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Prepare OR and supplies; track instrument counts and arrange instruments.
• Care for specimens and handle drugs under RN direction.
• Clean rooms and restock supplies; ensure proper storage.
• Mentor and train coworkers; support team integration.
• Complete annual age-specific accountabilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
