Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician – Certified to support the operating room in Naples, Florida. The role focuses on preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, and ensuring instrument counts align with patient safety standards.

Responsibilities include equipment readiness, inventory management, adherence to infection prevention protocols, and collaboration with the perioperative team to optimize OR efficiency. CST and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required or on track to obtain CST.
• 0-2 years OR surgical technician experience preferred.
• Technical schooling or associate degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments during operations.
• Maintain instrument counts and ensure infection control protocols.
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for subsequent cases.
• Support OR efficiency through equipment readiness and documentation.
