Qualifications

• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist required
• BLS - Basic Life Support required
• 0-2 years of OR experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by setting up instruments and supplies per procedure
• Maintains a sterile field during the procedure
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments
• Handles instruments per policy including sterilization
• Performs counts with circulating nurse to ensure patient safety
• Assists with patient positioning and draping
• Maintains physician preference cards and procedural documentation
• Restocks supplies and prepares rooms for next cases
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies
