Job summary

AdventHealth in Lake Wales, Florida is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the operating room team. You will scrub, gown, and glove, prepare sterile setups, assist with instrument counts, and help maintain sterile conditions throughout procedures.

The role requires Basic Life Support and CST certification or equivalent credential, with strong adherence to safety and patient care standards. Florida background screening applies.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and teamwork skills required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and sterile field setup required.
• Familiarity with sterilization techniques and OR procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove team members.
• Set up sterile table with instruments and meds for procedures.
• Assist with counts prior to incision.
• Assist surgeon and team during procedures.
• Prepare sterile dressings and instruments for sterilization.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Perform terminal cleaning and room prep for next case.
