Job summary

Ascension Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the Surgery department on day shift. You will prepare the operating room with sterile and non-sterile instruments, assist with patient positioning, and help maintain instrument counts throughout procedures.

The role requires NBSTSA Surgical Tech credential, BLS within 1 month, and your education may be high school diploma or an associate/technical degree with experience.

Qualifications

• Surgical Tech credentialed from the NBSTSA prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Required Credential(s)

• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
