Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing program is required.
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences is required.
• 0–2 years operating room surgical technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and supplies per procedure.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows aseptic technique.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments accurately.
• Inspects, cleans, and sterilizes instruments per policy.
• Assists with patient positioning, draping, and transfers.
• Restocks supplies and preps rooms for cases.
• Documents counts and supports patient safety.
• Performs other duties and adheres to policies.
