Job summary

Maple Lawn Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Full-Time Surgical Tech to scrub for procedures and assist sterile processing. You will maintain a sterile field, prepare supplies, and support the center's goals in a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

The role requires a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent, a High School Diploma/GED, and state/center certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Surgical Technician Program or equivalent preferred.
• Certification as required by state/center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.

Licensed by the State of Maryland, we specialize in a wide range of procedures including pain management, orthopedics, podiatry, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, spine, and sports medicine. The Surgical Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and also assists sterile processing by decontaminating, processing and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment. This individual maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Pay Range: $25.02/hr. - $38.09/hr.

Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, certifications and experience.
