Job summary

Maple Lawn Surgery Center in Scaggsville, MD is seeking a Full-Time Surgical Tech to support outpatient procedures in a compassionate, patient-focused environment. You will scrub for surgeries, assist with sterile processing, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technician Program (or equivalent) and state/center certification as needed, with strong teamwork and communication to coordinate with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic technique understanding and implementation.
• Ability to adapt to changes in patient condition.
• Teamwork and communication to coordinate with staff and physicians.

Full-Time Surgical Tech

The Surgical Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and also assists sterile processing by decontaminating, processing and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment. This individual maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.

Surgical Tech experience is required for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
