Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc is seeking a Full-Time Certified Surgical Tech at Prince William Surgery Center in Manassas, VA. The role assists the surgical team, scrubs for procedures, and maintains supplies and equipment under nursing supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a Surgical Technician program or equivalent education, state/center certification, and ambulatory center experience, thriving in a collaborative patient-care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Teamwork and communication skills for collaboration with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Support the surgical team and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Adapt to changing patient conditions and coordinate with the care team.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. This individual prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. The ideal candidate will support the philosophy, objective and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
