Valley Health is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to support surgical teams in a high‑volume setting. You will assist the surgeon, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety during invasive procedures.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or CSFA certification, five years CST experience (or two years in a first‑assist role), and Virginia licensure if working in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or certified surgical assistant.
• Five years CST experience or two years in a first-assist role.
• Virginia license required if working in Virginia; NBSTSA/NSAA/ABSA certifications; credentialing to work at the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon to ensure safe, efficient operations and operating room safety.
• Provide exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions to facilitate procedures.
• Ensure equipment function and sterility throughout invasive procedures.
