Qualifications

• Certificate program post high school vocational training required.
• 2 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist required.
• Must credential through medical staff services within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary surgical assistance to the surgeon during procedures.
• Assists in positioning, skin prep and draping of patient.
• Maintains hemostasis, handles tissue, sutures and applies dressings under surgeon guidance.
• Uses surgical instruments skillfully and transports patient postoperatively.
• Communicates with post anesthesia care unit.
