Qualifications

• Must be certified surgical technologist or first assistant with active CST or CFA certification.
• Minimum two years of first assisting preferred; CST with current certification.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission and values within the OR team.
• Assists in exposure, hemostasis and intraoperative tasks under surgeon direction.
• Harvests vein or artery as directed by the surgeon.
• Maintains sterile field and supplies, assists with draping and patient positioning.
• Performs wound closure, drains, and dressings per surgeon guidance.
• Participates in on-call rotations and on-site coverage as needed.
