Job summary

Montage Health in Monterey, CA is seeking an Instrument Technician to support the perioperative setting, including main OR, Short Stay Unit, and the PACU. You will clean, assemble, sterilize, and disinfect instruments and equipment, and manage sterilization records according to policy.

Shift 10:00 pm–06:30 am, full-time, with rotating weekends. Requires HS diploma, sterile processing training, and CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a sterile processing course or equivalent work experience required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, assemble, sterilize, and disinfect instruments and equipment in perioperative settings (OR, Short Stay Unit, PACU).

Position Summary

Under the department leadership, the Instrument Technician is responsible to provide support services in the perioperative setting, including main OR, Short Stay Unit, and the PACU and all other hospital departments. Cleans, assembles equipment, sterilizes and disinfects supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established policies and procedures. Performs material management functions in relation to par levels. Accurately documents the sterilization process.

Experience

Previous experience in sterile processing or current certification in sterile processing required.

Education

High school diploma, G.E.D. required. Completion of a sterile processing course or equivalent work experience in instrument processing required.

Licensure/Certifications

Certification from HSPA - CRCST or CBSPD - CSPDT required

$37.61 to $50.32

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.17
