Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with two years' experience in Sterile Processing.
• CSPDT certification, or other sterile processing certification required.
• Certification in Sterile Processing Management encouraged within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the sterile processing cycle and guide SPD staff.
• Serve as Sterile Processing Supervisor when assigned.
• Assist in maintaining department production by leading SPD employees.
• Assist with case carts management and report issues.
• Communicate instrument needs with SPD leadership and OR Coordinators.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and report issues.
• Maintain departmental compliance logs.
• Assist with policy implementation and enforcement.
• Support special projects and interdepartmental committees.
• Protect staff and facility by following biosafety policies.
