Advocate Health seeks a Part-time Sterile Processing Technician to ensure decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments. The role supports infection prevention standards and maintains accurate instrument tracking. PRN with call duties may apply.

The position requires HS diploma or equivalent, and CSPDT/CRCST certification with at least four years of experience. Certification in professional central sterile processing is preferred, with opportunities for

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years experience required.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or CRCST required.
• Membership in a professional central/sterile processing organization preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to safety standards and transports/handles soiled and sterile items with proper traffic flow.
• Identifies, responds and reports malfunctions and alarms.
• Performs efficacy and quality testing for all processes and equipment.
• Performs sterilization (steam/gas plasma/ETO/liquid chemical) for general and specialty instruments.
• Processes a wide range of instruments including laparoscopic, robotic, orthopedic, neuro, cardiovascular and ophthalmologic sets.
