Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time PRN Sterile Processing Technician for the Atrium Health Lake Norman facility. The role requires cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, labeling, and tracking surgical instruments to meet infection prevention standards.

The candidate must have a High School diploma, 4 years of experience, and CSPDT or CRCST certification, with membership in a professional processing organization preferred. On-site work with call responsibilities is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 4 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or CRCST certification required.
• Membership in a professional central/sterile processing organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards and handles sterile and soiled items with proper flow.
• Identifies, reports malfunctions and alarms promptly.
• Performs quality testing for processes and equipment.
• Performs cleaning per manufacturer IFU for general and specialty instruments.
• Handles sterile processing including high- and low-temperature methods.
• Packages and labels instrumentation following standards.
• Maintains sterilization equipment function, operation, monitoring, and documentation.
