Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join the team. The role involves cleaning, inspecting, and assembling instrument sets, and operating sterilization equipment to ensure sterile products for patient care.

This full-time position requires a High School diploma or GED and CSPDT certification, with a schedule that includes 11am-7:30pm shifts and rotating weekend call. Benefits eligible and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• CSPDT certification required to practice surgery sterile processing.
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment and related devices.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork.
• Clean instruments and equipment using correct methods.
• Inspect reusable items for quality and safety.
• Sort and assemble instrument sets for procedures.
• Operate autoclaves and sterilization units to produce sterile products.
• Maintain logs and records for sterilizers and supplies.
