Job summary

UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO seeks an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician to perform core sterile processing functions on site. The role is Days shift with PRN schedule and hourly pay between $23.49 and $30.53, depending on experience.

Onsite only, no remote option. Responsibilities include decontamination, sterilization, routine cleaning, documentation, and working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified CSPDT from CBSPD or CRCST from HSPA.
• Preferred: 2 years' certified experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning following IFU's. Disassembles items before choosing appropriate cleaning method. Performs visual inspection of instruments and equipment prior to appropriate assembly and packaging of instruments or equipment.
• Performs appropriate sterilization of instrument and equipment based on IFUs. Inspects and ensures all external indicators, filters and labels are appropriate.
• Performs routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring, leak testing, and bowie dick tests as appropriate.
• Documents work performed utilizing instrument tracking software/paper documentation as required.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
