Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the evening shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm), Monday through Friday. The role covers processing from decontamination to terminal sterilization and distribution of all reusable supplies and equipment hospital-wide.

Education requires a high school diploma with 10 hours of annual continuing education; 2 years of instrument processing experience; CBSPD or HSPA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; must annually complete 10 hours of continuing education.
• Experience: 2 years in instrument processing; customer service & communication experience required.
• Certifications/Licensure: CBSPD or HSPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond to priority in patient care process.
• Process and distribute reusable sterile supplies and instruments.
• Reprocess instruments after cases and prepare for shipment/pick-up.
• Maintain proper body mechanics to prevent injuries; participate in orientation.
