Job summary

WellSpan Health seeks a Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our surgical services team. You will assemble, sterilize and store instrument sets, coordinate with OR staff, and ensure equipment readiness for daily cases.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2 years CSPT experience, and relevant certifications, with a commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience as a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician.
• Certifications upon hire: CRCST/CS Technician or equivalent and CSPD credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assembles all specialty service instrumentation as priority.
• Maintains instrument inventory for sets and instrumentation.
• Communicates with materials management for procurement of instrumentation.
• Coordinates sharpening/repair schedule for service line instrumentation.
• Decontaminates, cleans, wraps, containerizes, sterilizes and stores instruments.
• Reviews daily surgical schedule with CSP supervisor and prepares instruments for procedures.
• Operates and maintains washers/sterilizers and related equipment.
