Job summary

The role requires CBSPD/IAHCSMM certifications, an associate degree or equivalent, strong customer service, and teamwork in a high-reliability environment. Evening shift with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Decontamination, disinfection, and cleaning of reusable surgical instruments.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes using steam and chemical methods.
• Record-keeping and instrument tracking system operations.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to train peers and provide customer service to ORs and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect, and clean various reusable surgical instruments, using mechanical or handwashing methods.
• Operate and monitor steam and chemical sterilization processes and document results.
• Prepare and package instrumentation, perform quality control testing, and maintain records.
• Assist with scheduling and instrument case preparation; retrieve instruments for cases.
• Support stocking, cleaning, phone coverage, transport of supplies, and training peers.
