Job summary

CPIhealth in Columbus, IN is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technician with sterile processing experience to support the operating room team. You will prepare, sterilize, and hand instruments, assist surgeons, and ensure patient safety and aseptic technique throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining instrument sets, QA records, and coordinating with providers and OR staff. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced, patient-centered

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Experience in sterile processing preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitary, infection control and safety standards.
• Experience with EMR (NextGen/ECW) preferred.
• Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and technical assistance to physicians, nurses and anesthesiologists.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist with aseptic technique.
• Distribute instruments and supplies to OR staff and assist during procedures.
• Prepare dressings post-surgery and maintain QA/sterilization records.
• Operate equipment, sterilize instruments and ensure infection control standards.
