Henry Ford Health Warren campus is hiring a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the 2:30pm–11:00pm shift, with rotating weekends. You will inspect, assemble, and evaluate surgical instruments to ensure sterility and readiness for procedures, supporting surgical teams and patient safety.

The role includes decontamination, inventory maintenance, and adherence to IFUs and protocols. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered, with opportunities for professional growth within sterile processing.

Competenze

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience.
• Credential in Sterile Processing required: HSPA or CBSPD before hire/date of transfer.

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Afternoon shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Rotating weekends

Our facility serves the diverse, tight-knit community of Warren and surrounding areas, offering quick access to Detroit and I-696. As part of our Sterile Processing department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety for surgical instruments and equipment, directly impacting patient care and surgical outcomes.

Role Overview

As a Technician-SterileProcess-Cert, you will be responsible for inspecting, assembling, and evaluating surgical instruments and sets to ensure they meet quality standards. Your work will directly support surgical teams by providing sterile, functional instruments, contributing to the success of surgical procedures and patient safety.

What You Will Do

• Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments, equipment, and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Perform decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers, and equipment according to instructions for use (IFUs) and established protocols.
• Correct instrument sets according to current standards, established count sheets, and/or instrument tracking systems.
• Maintain proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
• Perform regular quality assurance program audits of peers.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
