Job summary

Shields Health Solutions in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to provide hands-on support to patients and pharmacists and deliver a full continuum of medication adherence care in a fast-growing specialty pharmacy management setting.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, clarifying orders, labeling, calculations, handling hazardous or refrigerated meds, assisting with insurance issues, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• Must be nationally certified and registered as a technician.
• 1+ years of experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to work rotating shifts incl. some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter prescriptions.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacist.
• Label and fill prescriptions for verification.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations.
• Prepare medication for delivery to patients.
