Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Portland, OR. The role supports patients and pharmacists with a full continuum of medication adherence services in a fast-growing specialty pharmacy environment.

Candidates must be nationally certified and registered as a technician; 1+ year experience required, 5+ years preferred. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified and registered as a CPhT with the state of employment.
• 1+ years experience, 5+ years preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong phone skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter prescriptions.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacist or clinician.
• Label and fill prescriptions for pharmacist to verify.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations.
• Identify medications requiring special storage or handling.
• Prepare medications for delivery to patients and departments.
• Assist patients with insurance questions and financial assistance.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and drug orders.
• Communicate with patients by phone about their medications.
