Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support residential solar installs. On-site roles include doing site assessments, roof and electrical data collection, and post-install inspections to prepare for AHJ or utility approval.

You will climb ladders, inspect attics, and collaborate with install teams, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and adherence to codes and procedures in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state electrical certification at Journeyman or higher.
• PV design/installation or PV electrical experience helpful (1+ year).
• Comfortable working on roofs and using ladders.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in variable weather.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels.
• Climb ladders and inspect rooftops and attics.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools.
• Conduct post-install inspections and verify readiness for AHJ/utility approval.
• Coordinate with install teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Schedule inspections with AHJ and customers.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment.
• Represent the company professionally in customer interactions.
• Follow daily schedules across locations and adapt as needed.
