Lithia & Driveway is hiring at its DCH Subaru of Thousand Oaks location for a Certified Smog Check Inspector & Repair Technician. The role pays a flat rate hourly range and offers a path to broader diagnostics and maintenance work.

You will perform California Smog Check inspections, follow BAR requirements, work with Service Advisors, and contribute to a great customer experience in a collaborative shop.

Qualifications

• 1+ years automotive technician experience.
• Current California Smog Check Inspector license.
• Current California Smog Check Repair Technician license.
• Experience performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsabilités

• Perform California Smog Check inspections and emissions testing following BAR requirements.
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintenance, and automotive repairs based on experience and skill level.
• Diagnose and repair emissions-related failures and other vehicle concerns so vehicles can pass Smog Check.
• Follow manufacturer, dealership, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Work with Service Advisors and other technicians to provide a great customer experience.

What You'll Do

Perform California Smog Check inspections and emissions testing following Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) requirements. Complete vehicle inspections, maintenance, and automotive repairs based on experience and skill level. Diagnose and repair emissions-related failures and other vehicle concerns so vehicles can pass Smog Check. Follow manufacturer, dealership, safety, and environmental procedures. Work with Service Advisors and other technicians to provide a great customer experience.

What You'll Bring

• 1+ years of prior automotive technician experience.
• Current California Smog Check Inspector and Smog Check Repair Technician licenses required.
• Experience performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Total Rewards

The California pay range for this position is $17.00-$62.00 per flat rate hour. This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonus opportunities such as Production/Productivity. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
