Job summary

Birch Agency is hiring a Certified School Nurse (CSN) for a school-based position located in Oak Lawn, IL. This immediate need offers renewal potential for the next school year, with the CSN providing comprehensive health services and collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare providers.

The CSN will conduct health assessments, develop IHPs/504 plans, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with families and schools to promote student wellness and safety.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current and valid Illinois RN license.
• PEL with School Nurse Endorsement or eligibility to obtain.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students.
• Identify health concerns affecting learning and participation; respond to illnesses and emergencies.
• Develop and maintain Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with medical needs.
