Job summary

Aster Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Tinton Falls, NJ is seeking an Experienced Cook for our SNF/LTC facility. You will prepare meals, follow recipes, and ensure dietary requirements are met.

Shifts available 6:00am-2:00pm and 11:00am-7:00pm. Safe Serve Certification is a MUST, and on-site interviews will be conducted to fill this role, with every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in SNF/LTC settings preferred.
• Ability to follow established recipes and dietary plans.
• Must have Safe Serve Certification.

Shifts Available:

6AM-2PM

11AM-7PM

Every other weekend is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals and follow establishment recipes in accordance with prescribed dietary plans and resident preferences.

• Ensure proper food handling, preparation, and storage standards comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Assist in setting up dining trays and plating meals to ensure appealing presentation and accurate portion sizes.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, including equipment sanitization.

• Collaborate with the dietary team and clinical staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions.

Qualifications:

• ServSafe certification required.

• Previous commercial cooking, batch cooking, or culinary experience (experience in long-term care or healthcare settings is a plus).

• Knowledge of food safety, food handling procedures, and sanitation standards.

• A strong work ethic, team spirit, and a passionate, resident-centered attitude.
