Qualifications

• NCCCO or NCCER certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year prior experience rigging cranes or similar equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Professional communication skill to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to safety training.

Responsibilities

• Signals or gives direction to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps.
• Dismantles, maintains and stores rigging equipment.
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting.
• Utilize proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load, including hand signals for the safe operation of the crane.
