Job summary

Allegiance Crane & Equipment is seeking NCCCO or NCCER certified riggers for our Beaumont, TX location to join a busy crane operations team.

The role focuses on directing hoisting activities, inspecting and maintaining rigging gear, and ensuring safety through proper signaling and procedures. Experience with cranes or similar equipment and the ability to work overtime are required, along with a valid driver’s license and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• NCCCO or NCCER certification is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience rigging cranes or similar equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Professional communication skills to interact with customers.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Signals or directs workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps.
• Dismantles, maintains and stores rigging equipment.
• Tests rigging to ensure safety and reliability before hoisting.
• Uses proper rigging techniques and hand signals for safe crane operation.

Essential Responsibilities

• Signals or gives direction to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps
• Dismantles, maintains and stores rigging equipment
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting
• Utilize proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load, including hand signals for the safe operation of the crane.

Requirements

• NCCCO or NCCER certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 1 year prior experience rigging cranes or similar equipment
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
• Professional communication skill to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, stoop, climb, and move about shop and equipment. Heavy physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 75 lb. Will regularly be exposed to noise, heat, dust, and fumes around job sites and yard. Extreme weather conditions possible, at times. Must be able to drive a vehicle for local travel.
