Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacy needs at the retail pharmacy inside St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

You will assist Pharmacists with processing medication orders under supervision and perform duties requiring standing, lifting, and walking. Qualified candidates have a Pharmacy Technician license (IDFPR), CPhT or ExCPT certification, and at least 18 years old, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills clear.

Responsibilities

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

This position will support pharmacy needs at the retail pharmacy located within St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School/GED
• Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification (ExCPT)
• Experience: At least 18 years of age
• Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: 1 year pharmacy
• Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology
• Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations Intermediate computer skills.
