OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician I to assist pharmacists in dispensing, labeling and preparing medications, including IV solutions. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and patient care across neonatal to geriatric ages.
The Technician must hold an Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (IDFPR) and CPhT or ExCPT certification, be at least 18 years old, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in ensuring medications are promptly, accurately and safely dispensed, delivered, charged and credited. Prepares and labels medications to match orders. Maintains records related to drug use and charges. This position requires the Technician to be proficient in both dispensing oral medications and in preparation of I.V. solutions. Duties may vary by assigned area or shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.

Compensation: Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
