Expected pay for this position is $23.58 - $27.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
This position will provide pharmacy support to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL
POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Pharmacy Technician demonstrates exemplary skills as a certified staff technician and works to provide safe and efficient pharmacy services as defined in the pharmacy technician description. Assists in educating pharmacy staff members to ensure policies, procedures, performance standards and service expectations are met. Collaborates with the Operations Manager in taking corrective action planning to mitigate efforts that impact OSF HealthCare. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Licenses/Certifications: Active Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association.
Experience: 3 years of certified pharmacy technician experience. Complete 3 nationally approved certificate programs relevant to practice setting.
Other skills/knowledge: Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) or Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv)
Other skills/knowledge: Intermediate computer skills with demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Applications. Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology. Proficient in performing and applying arithmetic calculations. Demonstrates skills in independent problem solving, decision making abilities, prioritization/delegation. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
