Job summary

OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Specialist to deliver prescriptions to patient rooms and round with patients to promote the Meds to Beds program.

You must be able to walk throughout the day, provide excellent customer service, and input data and process bedside payments using mobile checkout units. Prior retail pharmacy experience is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

This position will support pharmacy needs at the retail pharmacy located within St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL

Must be able to walk from the pharmacy to the patient rooms within the medical center throughout the day as the pharmacy services specialist rounds with the patients.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacy Specialist delivers prescriptions to patient rooms, and rounds with patients to promote the Meds to Beds Program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: N/A

Other skills/knowledge: Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with Medical Center personnel, patients, and families in explaining Meds to Bed program and providing good customer service. Strong computer and typing skills in order to input data on medications and patient prescriptions, and process payments at the bedside utilizing mobile checkout units.

Licensure/Certifications: N/A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 month of work experience in retail pharmacy

Other skills/knowledge: Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology.
